On December 5, 2025, the Honourable Philip J. Pierre was officially sworn in as the 9th Prime Minister of Saint Lucia. His victory marks a significant political milestone, as he becomes the first leader in two decades to secure a second consecutive term in office.

He outlined his priorities for the new term: expanding the Youth Economy, accelerating the Digital Economy, widening lifelong learning, advancing the Blue Economy, and strengthening tourism.
